Kill the Classic Classic Walkthrough Disclaimer: this is not the true story Classic itself is based on, this is a story based on Classic, it is still true though that Classic is based on a true Story (no apologies for spelling errors, grammatic errors, incorrect errors, or anything... anything incorrect that is, don't read this, discover yourself! It's completely against my religion to upload this file, but I did so anyhow, I wonder if that makes me an atheist of my own beliefs... a walkthrough is just so wrong, the adventure is meant to be there for you, to experience, to discover... on your own. but ofcourse, beeing stuck for a month is a plausible excuse for beeing in desperate need of help, ok, I've said mine... but then again as the last paragraph says, this isn't really a walkthrough, it is meant to help you settle those logic connections that still weren't logic after the logic had been comprehended... err, see the last paragraph) You'r a detective in the city, mostly hiering yourself for cases you wouldn't want yourself. You walk around your office, leave for the outside, thunder is heard, the rain falls... you walk over to the newsstand as so many times before. You steal a newspaper, you see a nearby music thing and turn on some groovy music, and start to read... It's a newpaper with news of the city today. The news are an illusion for sure as nothing really happens, just small things of no interest to those who care or don't care - so noone cares? - personally you don't care but you'r the city's detective and thus you read. You see a notice indicating someone has been murdered at the mansion, selfmurder the article says, you don't believe that. The mansion is mention in the article as the scene of murder, the mansion is at the end of the forrest near the city. You start your walk to the mansion, taking only a short detour to kill some sharks (completely pointless and cruel). As you walk along the forrest path to the mansion you notice the unusually large amount of trash along the forrest path which seems to indicate someone has walked along it alot recently. At the mansion you'r stopped by a gate you cannot open nor climb over, but you find the key to the gate in a nearby bush, why is it there, because you'd expect it to be there, in a completely illogical place (just looking at, or more correctly examining the gate reveals the obvious that the key to it is in some completely illogic place). You insert the key into the mansion gate and take a step forward... and so you enter the building. You take notice that the gate squeeks noticeably (well, if you can't hear the gate squeak, take my word for it, it does) when you open it. Inside the mansion you start searching for a clue to the murder, the murder mentioned in the newsarticle, the murder you've hiered yourself to solve. You search the kitchen, the hall rooms, the upstairs room, but find nothing, finally you decide to investigate the library. Standing in the library you look around, nothing of interest in eyeview, but wait, there's a gigantic bookshelf! You've read dozens of detective stories with secret doors opening up when one pull out one of the books in the book case, why not be a complete clische and try something as classic as trying to pull out the books in the shelf one by one... or wait, isn't one of the books in a slightly different color (:)), you try pulling it out... As you pull out the book you hear a draged out slow sound as of a door opening up, a SECRET DOOR is the first thought that runs through your mind, you quickly realise though that it is the sound of the mansion gate opening up you're hearing. The sound of a couple of people entering the mansion and walking upstairs is heard (you are sure there is more than one person entering since you can hear a number of distinctive voices). As the sound dims you follow the voices upstairs, you notice the leftside door is locked and if you lean against it you can hear some voices inside discuss what sounds like the success of a murder, you also hear them mention the DOCKS and a BOAT and hiding VALUABLE GOODS there. You'r struck by the obvious, the unusal amount of garbage along the forrest path indicated a lot of people had walk along it recently (the path is naturally cleaned regularly, or there would have been much more garbage there), this means that the people behind this door must have murdered the person mentioned in the news article. Ofcourse! That's why there were some bloody knives in the mansion kitchen, these people murdered the mansion owner, placed the knives back in the kitchen and forgot to clean them, luckily for them the police missed the knives and decided the mansion owner had just murdered himself (illogic for sure). So after the murder the murderers had brought down the goods along the forrest path, probably to the docks as you heard them talk about the docks (also that is the only place the forrest path leads to, at least in the adventure universe you'r in). So you decide to try to find this goods (ok, you could have called the police now, showed them the knives, but would they have belived you, would it have been enough to convict the killers, and besides, isn't it more fun to solve the whole mystery yourself?). So you head down the forrest path to the docks, when reaching the docks you see a boat. You are sure the boat wasn't there earlier when you were here killing sharks, you suspect the murderers have hiered this boat to flee on with their stolen goods, but the boat must have been late or the murderes wouldn't be at the mansion now. You quickly scan the boat and find nothing in it. Probably the murderers hid the stolen goods somewhere nearby, probably in that little store here at the docks. You enter the store and confront the owner about the hidden stolen goods (you take up the subject directly as you are positive the store owner is hiding it). He says nothing ofcourse... so you pull out your GUN and fire a shot above his head, this has effect, now the store owner tells you everything, how some people came down the other night, forced him to hide some stolen goods in the back. When you attempt to confront the killer about more info he vanishes in a green radiation of light, obviouslly he was an alien (as the mysterious text on the counter indicated, duh :)). The store owner leaves behind him a golden key marked the mansion, you remeber him saying that the mansion murderers dropped it the last time they were here. So feeling sure you have cracked the case you return to the mansion, quickly call the police, and finally unlock the door to where the murderes are.... SOME HINTS * the mansion gate: try examining the gate (read!!), you can use both the left and right mouse button to correspondingly look at things from a distance and look at things more closely * inside the mansion: the books.... This is not the story Classic was based on, this story is instead based on Classic to give those inhabitants of the City who are not detectives a chance to comprehend what has happened. Many logic connections are unfortunately revealed here within, this takes away some of your joy of selfdiscovery and thus I didn't encourage you to read it. Still... I feel it would contradict Classic not to reveal it's inner most logic connections. Why would it contradict classic not to reveal it's inner most logic, well... if you wonder why, I must ask you: Haven't you yet figured out what Classic stands for?
