Who may submit a hiscore?

Anyone may submit as long as you are a member of this sites club (The PIN Club). To become a member fill out the Join Form on the Club page. To become a member you need to have an email (when you fill out the join form a userid will be send to your email, this userid is then used to submit hiscores).

I'm a club member, how do I submit a hiscore?

Go to the hiscore page and click on the link Submit Hiscore. Having done this you will need to go through 4 steps to submit the hiscore:

  • Select the Pinball for which you wish to submit a hiscore
  • Select which Table or Score Placement you wish to submit a score for
  • Enter you Hiscore and your userid/password (and optional comments *)
  • Confirm the data you have entered is correct
  • Done

Once you have been told the hiscore has been submitted successfully you can go to the hiscorelist yourself and check how high your hiscore rank!

*) At this point you can also enter some optional Hiscore Comments. Write whatever you want about your hiscore, if you used any special settings or any special tricks (not cheats) to score so high, or whatever you can think of! The comments will be viewable from the hiscore list by clicking on the desierable hiscore. (Note, when you submit a higher hiscore for a certain table your previous hiscore and it's comments will be deleted).

Explanation of the hiscore list (color codes and symbols)

    hiscore table scheme
The top ranking players name in each table is shown in: Yellow
A new post (not older than a week) has it's score in: Blue

table or scoreplacement : Each pinball package (i.e Pinball Fantasies, Psycho Pinball, Balls of Steel) includes a number of tables. Some pinball packages include one single table (i.e Pro Pinball: Timeshock!) but offer a number of different score placements (i.e you can achive a Video Mode hiscore, a Master of Time hiscore, a Buy-in Hiscore and a Normal Hiscore).

difficulty level or playing mode / style : A number of pinballs offer different playing modes (styles) you can play in (i.e Pro Pinball: Timeshock!, Balls of Steel), often you can choose to play in Tournament Mode, Normal Mode, Arcade Mode... and so on, this is what playing mode / style means. Difficulty Level is self explainatory, some title offer you to play at a certain difficulty level, easy, normal, hard (i.e 3D Ultra Pinball). Usually a pinball title either offers you to play in different playing modes (styles) or in different difficulty levels (seldom are both combined, wouldn't make much sense if they were).

As seen on the image above, difficulty level or playing mode is shown as a master heading and below it are all table or scoreplacements listed and below each table/placement are all hiscores for the table/placement listed.

Note that only the top x hiscores for each table/placement are listed in the main hiscore table for the pinball package, if more hiscore are available for the table/placement a link will be displayed that you can click on to get the full listing for that table/placement.

Note that you can click on the hiscores to find out more about the score (posting date, read hiscore comments etc.).

Are there any rules for what kind of hiscores I may submit?

Yes. Before you submit your first hiscore please make sure you have read the Rules, it is also recommended you have a look at the FAQ if you have any questions.
