Shift 1999-2000 Editorial (The December 1999 - January/Februari 2000 Editorial) Original Publishing Date (y/m/d): 2000-01-30 Oh, it's a new day! Heh, missed december there, well, I'm calling this editorial the Shift 1999-2000 Editorial to fix that gap in the monthly editorial line (this one stands in for december and january). I haven't yet put up a review of Fantastic Journey, was meaning to write it during december but for reasons I never got around to do that (wanted to try to play the table through to the wiz before reviewing it). Will have an review of it up within the coming 1-2 weeks anyhow if anyone out there was wondering what's happened to that review. I also received a copy of Devils Island some weeks ago. I think this is definitively a table worth buying if you liked BOS. Haven't seen any demos for it yet. It's a decent 2d scroller, the table is a bit easygoing (slowgoing) inbetween modes but it seemed a bit more challenging than the tables that came with the original release of BOS (I got this impression at least when trying it out a little, haven't gotten around to really playing it yet). The BRUSA league is in action right now (check ByteDoc's BRUSA Page if you want to join in on the next league). Seems FJ hasn't yet been released in the US (what, release delayed?!), hopefully the release will happen sometime soon... Not sure how the release of the mac version is coming along, there will to my understanding definitively be a mac release, though if it has happened yet I'm not sure. There will be no WBP (worlds best pinball) vote this time around (as there has been the previous two years), instead there will be one at the end of this year (near the end of december, hopefully some more pinball tables will have been released by then). Was thinking of sending out a clubmail earlier this month, though I want to get a decent mailing script set up for sending out the clubmails first, so it might be a while before the first clubmail of this year is send out. Oh, I'd also just like to point out this page, HAND Productions. Added a new title to the released games list there recently, Classic, it's a small adventure game written by yours truly! ;) Maybe it is a bit short, but I hope you'll like it! Thoughts on the new forthcoming pinball decade? That'll have to wait until the next editorial, that is if I can come up with any deep philosophical pinball thoughts until then. Just kidding. ;) Has anything else happened, I don't know.
So, it's a new day? |
