Unreal Hi!

Is anything happening right now? Apart from the US release of BRUSA during the first quarter of this I can't actually seem to recall anything fun released, ofcourse I haven't yet tried out LittleWing's english release of Angel Egg yet (which is a title I've really only heard positive remarks on). 21st Century, where are you? I know STR (slamtilt res...) should be about done now and should come out sometime soon. Cunning is in the works on PP:FJ, the status of the development is out of my knowledge... There seems to be no news out whetever there will be an MPA2 which is something many people seem to be asking about. KaZe who are working on the PC port of Last Gladiators is quite too, nothing new about the title has appeared on their webpage during the year... Digital Eclipse TAF Sim is as usual status unknown.

I got a mail about a games package called Arcade Fever (published by Encore Software if I'm not mistaken) which includes a title called Pinball Fever. Does anyone know what this is for a pinball? I haven't got a clue.

I think it's time to be serious for a while, it's soon year 2000, and soon time for the Y2K problem which includes the trouble with 00 as program terminator, end of run, etc, the mistake of it being 1900 instead of 2000 etc etc, which would result in problems with flights, banks, transactions, bills, etc, etc, it is all well that everyone (or some) are worried about this and are trying to fix it. Though I feel one side of all of this has been overseen, one thing,

yes... whatabout pinballs?

Will they know it is the year 2000 or will they thinking it is 1900 simply vanish, or even worse will they (for some reason whatever) think it is sometime in the 1930's and thus turn into the likes of humpty dumpty, will all flippers on pinballs suddenly reverse and become barbaric prehistoric clubs, will the light bulbs explode in the dmd (or the pixels go out of sync) and leave us with no dot matrix displays at all... just some simple number counters at best, will the bumpers likewise disappear through the table and leave only a hole behind it into which the ball can fall and give you some score. Probably not since at least Williams seem to have taken precautions, so we can be safe. But whatabout all pinball sims, I haven't received any Y2K patches, have you?

(ok, I couldn't think of anything to write, it's late, don't take me seriously ;)

Oh, btw, I'm working on some kind of a internet pinball simulation database, if anyone has any suggestions on what it should look like, send me a mail.

Happy New Month!
