SlamTilt Resurrection Announcement Original Publishing Date (y/m/d): 1999-06-29
SlamTilt was a good 2d scrolling pinball and very popular on the amiga when it came, it was later (1997) released for the pc and was simply quite excellent (still think it is quite good). Now good old 21st Century who have been very very quiet for a long while is back and is, together with the developers Ganymede Technologies, about to release the 3D version of SlamTilt, SlamTilt Resurrection. New publishers and developers... the table themes are still the same though but everything else..? Tables
ST (the original version of SlamTilt) included four tables, Mean Machine, The Pirate, Ace of Space, Night of the Demon. STR (SlamTilt Resurrection) will as you see above include the Pirate and Demon table, beats me why they didn't select the cool Mean Machines table. There will probably be a second release later on featuring the other two tables from ST not included in STR. Been a while since I played the original SlamTilt pinball, though if I remember correctly I themewise never cared much for the Pirates table, though I thought the Demon table was good.
Features The pinball will feature four different playing modes: Table resolutions range from 640x480 to 1600x1200 in 32K, 64K or 16 millions colors. The tables are rendered in three different views - both scrollable (scrollable 2d view, if anyone wonders) and fixed (3d view). The pinball also includes a feature to record your games and view them all through later (useless?). There is also a feature that gather statistics during games which you later on can view in a spreadsheet statistical program in order to track the progress of individual pinball skills. There will also be an official hiscore list up at slamtiltresurrection.com. Nothing like the glory of being number one on the official hiscore list (like I would know anything about that)! Supposedly you can also customize almost every aspect of the tables (OM?). More I don't know of any release dates for the pinball but since it seems like it is finished it should hopefully be released sometimes soon. Finally check out the wellmade official homepage for SlamTilt Resurrection, lots of information and some very large screenshots of the tables (no demos available yet), go on, check it out Now!! :)
