Missing a table?
Visual Pinball/PinMame Rules
line of dragon fire

The second wave of PC Pinball is here and it would stand to reason that the Tower of PIN would participate in getting pinheads excited about PC Pinball again. PC pinball software development has been stale with a few European exceptions. Therefore we would like to generate some new interest by listing tables from Visual Pinball and PINMAME and just llike the Hi Score page for Pinball PC Software, we will develop a repository for these games so pinheads can bank their hi scores just as they do now for software PC Pinball.

There was at one time a high score page that was kept for some of these games but it has disappeared. Therefore, there is no intent here of stealing anyone's thunder. We give credit where the credit is due to Randy Davis for developing Visual Pinball and PINMAME and the new era that it has ushered in in PC Pinball play. We give credit to AJ Russo who has a website where PINMAME PC Pinball games and their cooresponding ROMS can be downloaded. AJ also hosts a forums site where PINMAME and Visual Pinball can be discussed.

Kudos to the IRPinball team that develops and improves upon many of the older pinball games for the Visual Pinball platform. Too many names to mention there for authors and developers but there credits can be found on the IR Pinball site listed below.

The rules for posting a high score are fairly simple:

You post your best score from the default mode. NO BUY-INS from credits. Since there are so many different versions of any given game that are developed, and the lastest version is preferred for posting, we will keep it simple and say that you can post your best game from any version of the table, unless the high score adminstrator deems otherwise.

Different versions of the game must be kept separate for PINMAME and Visual Pinball. In other words, if there are two versions of a Visual Pinball game to play from do not cross post a game from VP in the PIN MAME Hi Scores where a PIN MAME version exists and vice versa.

There are hundreds of games that could be posted, dare we say near a thousand! Please be patient, as we will start with those games that have the most appeal, popularity and playability and will add more as time goes by. There will be something for everyone in terms of interest and competition.

If you have questions or suggestions, please contact rmaultra@indygov.org

Here are some of the links to websites of interest to get you started and for downloading these games.

Enjoy! - Rick Maultra
